History

The last three years I've been consulting in user interface design to a variety of small and medium sized companies.

Before that, I spent three years designing the Mirra Personal Server and developed much of the product's web service interfaces in Java. That product lives on as the Maxtor Central Axis services. Before Mirra I managed a software team at ONI Systems for three years.

I developed my design skills, however, working at Apple Computer for nine years on their Macintosh products. That included developing human interface components for the operating system as well as leading technical decisions for system software releases like Mac OS 8.1 and 7.6.1.

Before Apple, I worked with a small startup called Exos developing haptic interface devices, eventually sold to Microsoft, and I completed a degree in Applied Mathematics from MIT. I also completed a post-graduate series at Stanford in decision analysis.
